This painting is about the clarity of the colour orange and how the colour of the subdued blue/green sea and the clouds sit in pure harmony with shades of milky orange, tangerine, lemon, Naples yellow and a pop of pink. It’s a celebration of the joy of a sunrise and the clarity it can bring to the viewer - it’s an awakening, literally and metaphorically.
