March 2022: 40th Group Exhibition at King's Hill, Kent

I really happy to be part of the 40th group show in King’s Hill with Frickleton Fine Art with some other wonderful artists.

Below left is ‘The Safe Route To The Island’ which is inspired by flying in a propeller plane from Barbados to St Vincent and the Grenadines, something I did year’s ago when on a Press Trip in my old life as a Travel Editor. When I made this work mid-Pandemic I was craving the freedom of heat and travel and the slightly precarious nature of island hopping in the Caribbean.

Below is one of my favourite pieces, though the light in this image is a bit dodgy - click on it to see it’s true colours and some ideas of how it might look in your home. It’s ‘Pink Light on Lancing Beach’ near my home. Inspired by a particularly beautiful winter’s evening on the beach near my home that made me feel like I was lucky enough to live somewhere so beautiful that could inspire me to believe I may actually be on Greek Island beach!

I am going to visit the exhibition in April, so watch this space for more updates, and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @antoniathompsonartist
